Service users, carers and staff at South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be in party mood on Wednesday 13 September when the Trust holds its annual Trust Festival, followed by the Annual Members’ Meeting.
Everyone is welcome at the event which runs from 10.00am to 02.30pm at St George’s Hospital, Stafford.
There will be displays, pop-up presentations and lots of activities including art, photography and a ’health shop’ for advice and tips on mental and physical wellbeing.
The theme of the day is co-production with all services having been challenged to demonstrate how they work in partnership with service users and carers to provide, develop and improve care.
Louise Crompton is leading on promoting the festival and says “As a service user and carer myself I am excited to be able to take part in this event as I know what a great range of services are being provided. I want to encourage everyone to come along and find out more about what’s on offer”.
Martin Gower, Trust Chairman added, “We are committed to involving and engaging our service users and carers in every aspect of Trust business and I am delighted we will be demonstrating some of the ways in which this partnership approach is making a positive difference to our organisation”.
At the Annual Members’ Meeting, which takes place during the afternoon, there will be an opportunity to review the past year and ask questions of the Council of Governors.
